Written in a very lucid language this book is a must read. It’s a poignant story of determination th Jeh to serve the nation, as he continued as the chairman of Air India International, despite an apathetic and sometimes hostile Indian Bureaucracy. This book talks about Jeh’s passion, commitment and unwavering dedication towards the principles that he always held close to his heart. The man’s penchant for perfection and dedication to country and his work comes out clearly through the pages. One gets to experience a slice of history -years after Independence-especially in the areas of industrial and public policy sector – the state of industries and how policies were made then.

Believing that what was good for India must be good for Tatas, he took the bureaucratic slaps without j.r.x.tata and still did his best because he did not know any other way to live.

Lala had the good fortune of working with JRD and knowing him personally too. He used to authorise a known, and reliable persons to the very important jobs, and watched them to perform from a distance.

How Tata gave up their dream of Air India and other companies for India’s prosperity.

You will learn many aspect about TATAs. It seems incredible that a succession of Tatas took the company from where it began to where it is now in spite of all the hurdles that were natural and government made.
