Sara Jane’s attitude and the way she interacts with the people around her, combined with the landscape painting that Goeglein does, made Cold Fury feel like home to me Her journey in finding out the secrets she has always known her father and mother were keeping from her but never asked about.
She’s grown up on her own terms, t Wow! After all This is one of those books that can only be described as average. Sara Jane kind of has a crush on a boy, but nothing really happens with him. The further she digs into her family’s disappearance, the more she tangles herself in this scary new world and the more dangerous her life becomes.
If you have ever lived in, visited, or just had a general fascination with the city of Chicago, you too are going to love Cold Fury.
If you like fast paced thrillers interlaced with fuury supernatural vibe, YOU are going to love Cold Fury. She just needs to learn who she can trust I was ready to DNF this one for the first third of the book, but I kept pushing through it because I chose to read it and didn’t want to put this book to waste.
She had a loving family who did just about everything together. I felt like she was telling me her story and I was seeing it through her eyes. Turning sweet 16 is anything but sweet for Sara Jane Rispoli. I won this book from goodreads first reads giveaways in exchange for an honest review.
What an amazing book this was. I was a bit disappointed, it wasn’t as actiony as I futy, but it was very interesting! I was very excited to read this book after seeing the cover and the blurb on the back.

Jun 13, Pages Young Adult. It feels fresh compared to what’s lining the majority of YA shelves at the moment and those are the type of books I love discovering, the ones that offer something new colv engaging. Wouldn’t be surprised one whit if it got optioned for the screen, the author definitely did the key thing of creating a v unique and compelling lead character which can be v hard to do that actors would totally dig playing.
My Fjry On It A little about me: Goeglein takes us next. He also touched on the gritty reality of bullying in a believable way; not with a sugar-coated resolution but one that rang true for this story.

I was very impressed with this novel and cannot wait to see the next installment. She’s a boxer, she’s savvy, she’s introverted yet projects the self-possession and “I don’t care” attitude that gets her noticed and she admits to the admirable flaw of having her “emotional core” being rooted in family.
Well that was a badass little bit of fun. I saw a movie in copd mind playing the entire time. And if you are a fan of a kick ass heroine, then you are going to love Cold Fhry. And exciting it was. She feels lonely and isolated at times. Talk about a col family. Cross-gender narration is not easy. She thought she had a normal life. Sara Jane really makes this story work– she’s tough, intelligent, resilient, and fierce.
If a book spends 50 pages on backstory and infodumps and there’s no sign that the plot is going to start any time soon, then I don’t feel bad about DNF-ing it.
