Sorry for the trouble people. Unless something really bad is discovered, I will move the project into a kind of beta testing phase soon. This extra functionality was contributed by Ray Lambert. There are quite a lot of bugs fixes in this release, including some important ones.
I’ll re write the tutorials first and firweall them up on the web site so that you people can get some ideas about what it is you are supposed to do with Guarddog. Hi, and welcome to LQ! You can go here to see the complete manual with guaarddog of its pages, FAQs and all. I haven’t tested them out, but they should work ok. It can be read online here. Thus, I’ve heard it’s not only a linux firewall.
Now has a tutorial and FAQ section. It adds a bunch of new protocols thanks to those who helped with these and the possibility to guardddog multiple DHCP interfaces separate interface names with a comma.

It should look like this: This version has only been tested on Mandrake 7. Rejecting a protocol is like blocking it as normal but it also informs the source that the packet was blocked.
Permitted protocols can be decided firewa,l a zone by zone basis. Last Tuesday some extremely uncool person hacked the server hosting this website – and probably a heap of other websites – and basically trashed it. It had been broken for a while now.
