The book lays out the basics on how to make an ice cream base from the get go: The flavor ideas are really interesting, but the recipes all come out so much too sweet that they’re barely edible.

I’ve had some success after cutting the amount of sugar in half more than that for the recipes including honey as well as sugar but I’d recommend putting the flavoring ingredients in your favorite ice cream base instead of ceeam their custard recipe.
