Tenor melody and tight harmony gives the rhythmic back-beat tune a 30’s flavor.
Chart has neat bass counter melody. Big intro, nice peppy uptune, onn middle for the MC to say a few words of welcome, and then a big tag classic show opener that can’t miss.
Another Grandma’s Boys show song, also quite suitable for contest; on our 3rd album. This new arrangement includes 3 verses and features melodic part-writing. This new, updated version adds more vocal challenge; there is key change into niyht last section up a minor 3rd and a more dynamic tag.
Strong show opener or closer. Also, the last refrain is Tenor-Melody. The verse is an original by Al Baker that amplifies the story line.
Part of the Carol ‘Classics’ Medley. You’re the Boy I Love Arranger: This is the quartet version, 4 parts.
Solid song from the 50s made famous by Jackie Wilson. From the musical ‘Dancing Girl’; power lead solo. Powerful ballad; provides for a full range of emotional projection.
The is a fun Al Yankovic tune about lost love. The list of arrangements will be constantly growing. Sentimental ballad; performed by many tthis champ. This is an old Buffalo Bills tune that tells a cute story about tenement living in the old neighborhood. Song Arrangements My goal is to make searching for arrangements as easy as possible. O Holy Night Arranger: A dramatic Lead solo. The bit where the tenor and bari spell out the letters with ‘crazy’ body positions could still be effective.
Medley of calypso favorites. This rockin’ Gospel number has a bluesy melodic line.
New Tradition staged this with guest artists. It is difficult, but powerful.
Features a Bass solo on the verses. Could be paired nicely with “Red Roses for a Blue Lady”. Marvelous Stevie Wonder song that barbershops beautifully. Makes for a nice opener! This is the full song, not to be confused the ‘show opener’ version ala the Harrington Bros. From the Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky with added lyrics.
Home For The Holidays Arranger: Queen Classic – in 4 part a cappella style. The excerpt from the Opera, Amahl and the Night Jat includes soprano and baritone soloists and men’s chorus. Lou Perry provided me with the sheet music on this and said it would make a great chart and that it did!
