Alera stays true to her character the whole time. It was like a movie played in my mind. I have mixed feelings on Legacy – on the one hand, the story has much potential and piqued my curiosity for the world that Carla Kluver created; on the other hand, I did not particularly care for the characters themselves.
I read it the whole way through, hoping I’d find a redeeming star hidden in the pages But she could not have guessed that their clandestine meetings would unveil the dark legacy shadowing both their lands.
They’re in positions of power, and yet they stand there like petulant children, their faces screwed up in indignation, threatening to do something Rava will regret if she doesn’t listen, but they never do.
A guy that Alera is still a total B towards. She was too headstrong and stubborn, and at times I found her antics to be too much, too fast.

As someone who is bad at visualization, this made it easier for me to imagine stuff, but at times even I found all the descriptive passages bothersome. This book is pretty lengthy at almost pages and it covers a year of time in the life of Alera, so there are lots of details and situations thrown at you. I was a little hesitant when I learned it was written by a 14 year old, mostly because the other books I’ve read or tried to read by teens Eragon and Bg weren’t really my cup of tea.
I mean Alera, she just sits around hoping for the best, doing everything she can for Narian, and I cannot take it. Originally posted on A Reader of Fictions.
Thank goodness I am done with this trilogy. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Narian is charming, sweet and really kind to Alera and I’m really glad that things are working out really well for both of them in this book. For instance, the author did not add much dialogue between Narian and Alera, just hinted at it. This is the time to regain what has been lost.
Only slightly less annoying than Alera, Shaselle spends all of her time whining about dresses and needlepoint and accepting suitors, and doing everything possible to destroy what little trust her mother has in her. The plot was just what I want from a fantasy book as such, and the skill with which the book Sacrifice was written astounded me.
East Dane Designer Men’s Fashion. The rebellion and general unrest takes backseat to Alera and Narian’s continued difficult romance. Alera’s people aren’t interested in becoming Hy in any form whatsoever, and rebellion is quietly brewing behind the scenes.

Legacy of a nation filled with duty and honor plays an important bg in this fantastic tale. Shaselle has quickly become another strong woman in Sacrifice. Courage won’t be enough.
I dont like the Hytanican’s that much, because they underestimate women and believe they are superior. In this mystical world of court conspiracies and blood magic, loyalties will be tested. He has been very loyal to the Kingdom of Hytanica, and has proven it time and time again.
Many of those latter scenes csyla have been combined, and some just left out entirely. See, I love historical fiction. She was nothing special. I usually don’t mention such things when reviewing ARCs, but I have to comment on one particular oddity.

It turned out to be much better than I expected. There are many other wonderful characters in this story that I will save for you to explore. Suddenly, Alera had the renewed support of the Hytanicans she had been arguing with and siding against for the whole book, and she decided to offer the Cokyrians peace.
Though I’m not llegacy to root for a suitor or anything, I found Steldor more interesting, amusing, and human than anything else.
Euro direkt den zweiten Teil bestellt habe. Sorry, but I’m not that gullible or forgettable as to accept that.
