If I had one word to describe this book it would An outstanding book that lays the gospel out on the line without pulling any punches whatsoever.

The reason for this, MacArthur says, is because the true Gospel requires one to look at himself and agree with the truths of Scripture: Not for lack of evidence, but the content is hard to grapple with. Backed by Scripture, John MacArthur writes in a way that makes it plain to understand what a real conversion to Christ is all about.

Jesus does not desire for his disciples to stop at simple belief, but he longs for them to follow in His steps by becoming completely obedient to God. However this has been my favorite MacArthur book so far and look forward to reading more of his stuff.
